Hot Springs Anah

Genesis and Chronicles contain geneologies of the patriarchs, which are often times repeated in both places. There are not just names, but intertwined with some details about a specific person. 

For instance Genesis 36:24 ESV:  “These are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah; he is the Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he pastured the donkeys of Zibeon his father.”

It wasn’t any old Anah, it was this SPECIFIC Anah. These are not made up or insignificant persons. There is a history here, a part they play in the story.

We have a part in that story too. God knows us by name just like He knew “Hot Springs Anah”.
