Forgotten

Genesis 40:23 ESV
[23] Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

This is a sad verse. God hadn’t forgotten Joseph, although Joseph surely was tempted to think he had. Somehow in the pit of a dungeon, an unfairly imprisoned Joseph was forged into an incredible man of faith and wisdom. God was working.

Sometimes I wonder what God is doing in my life. Things aren’t going like I want them to. People disappoint. Patience is hard. I am grateful for the example of men like Joseph.
