Genesis 9:1-2 ESV
[1] And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. [2] The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered.
We see here that sin doesn’t just affect us. All of creation suffers. Verse 2 indicates that pre-flood the relationship between humans and animals was different than now. Fear, anxiety, conflict. But there is hope! Isaiah tells us of a future restoration of all creation. This is the work of Jesus!
Isaiah 11:6-8 ESV
[6] The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. [7] The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. [8] The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.
